“Each time you are honest and conduct yourself with honesty, a success force will drive you toward greater success. Each time you lie, even with a little white lie, there are strong forces pushing you toward failure” – Joseph Sugarman
Honesty is one of the greatest factors in success, in our relationships with our teammates and coaches, it can create a greater sense of unity. And with unity, goals are easier to accomplish. Honesty in our actions never lets us cheat ourselves out of a hard set in practice or even a hard situation in life. And honesty with ourselves allows us to realize our talents and the plans God has in store for us. And to know God’s plan for each person and honestly follow it, is the greatest success of all.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day and for all the talents and gifts, especially our teammates, coaches, and parents, that You have given us which have helped us get here today. We ask You to help us to know how to live in honestly. And we ask for the grace to carry through all our actions in true honesty, so that we may succeed in Your Eyes, and win the truest award of all: heaven.
Amen.
