Hello again!
Well, today was my first competition in a national meet! I was so psyched and a little nervous. I did a best time in the 200 breaststroke, and hopefully I will do a personal best in the 100 on Friday as well. The amount of people at the meet was astounding; I never realized how many people were involved in YMCA Swimming! I am happy my race went as planned; my teammates did awesome, too. There were many personal best and even three people made it back to finals. That was the most exciting part! When we came back for finals, I felt so good standing among all these amazing swimmers! The finals qualifiers did great; more personal bests were won. I am so grateful to be part of such an accomplished, experienced, and SPIRITED team! The awards were cool, too. The winners from our team stood proud as they received their awards. Maybe one day, I will be up on that podium receiving my award. But until then, I have another exciting day tomorrow to watch all my friends swim and prepare for my event for Friday. Until then…………..see ya!
