Wow, I can't believe this week went by so quickly; it is all
such a blur in my mind! I didn't do as
well as I'd hoped in the 100 breast, but I am sure I will get better with
time. Of course, our team went out with
a bang at finals. Our 400 Medley Relay
teams both finaled, along with Sarah and Hoff finaling in the 100 breaststroke. I was so happy for all of them; what an
accomplishment. I can only dream of what
it would feel like to recieve an award for being one of the fastest swimmers in
the country! I don't have much else to
say about Long Course other than it was the most incredible experience of my
entire life! I would like to say
goodbye to Mike McTammany, who celebrated his last swim meet Friday at
finals. The whole team will miss you. Besides the great help of the coaches and
all they've done for me this season, my peers, my teammates, my friends, thank you
for supporting and cheering for me and each other. It is the best feeling in the world when you have someone
standing at the other end of the pool urging you on. Everyone did awesome this week, and I am counting down the days
until Short Course YMCA Nationals. "We" are all going to make it; we
just have to believe in ourselves. I
will end my journal entries with a quote, one very well-known on our
team...."Shoot for the moon, but even if you miss, you will land among the
stars!"
