Hi everyone! My name is Katie Steider. I’m going to my first YMCA Nationals! I swim for the Meadville YMCA Swim Team- the MYST Manatees. Meadville is in Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
I’m twelve years old, the youngest member of my team
going this year, and I’m totally excited about being with my friends. Two of my
friends, Liz Barba and Jessica Zimmer, are going off to college this fall, and
this will be a great experience to share with them, especially since my first Nationals
will be their last. I have always looked forward to being able to go to
Nationals and represent my team. I must admit though, I am a little nervous
about the events I will be swimming, however fun I know the trip will be.
Well I hope that in my future journal entries that I
won’t bore you to tears. I’ll fill you in on what’s happening in my life at
Nationals in my next journal entry. See ya’!
