It’s the first day of Nationals…no one can believe that it is really here! We have practiced so hard and now it’s time for our training to pay off. The excitement and enthusiasm was definitely in the air.

Our team did really well today, mentally and physically we all rose to the occasion. Despite the rain, our team helped each other to focus on their races and not on the weather.

Not only was enthusiasm shown during the meet, but also during Opening Ceremonies. Having each individual athlete and their families and friends come together as a whole made this a memorable event. The patriotism was evident through the display of the costumes, songs and cheering.

This is our senior year, our last winter nationals and we hope that the rest of the week is going to be as successful and fun as today!
