Tonight’s opening ceremonies were fun, as usual. All the swimmers and divers paraded around the pool in patriotic customs that captured the theme of the week here in Ft. Lauderdale. Our team was part of the ceremonies doing the color guard and water banner, while our teammate, Nicole, gave an inspirational dedication. Josh Davis, a member of the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Team, joined us enjoy the festivities of the night.

Being participants at Y Nats is an opportunity that presents many challenges. The last couple days have been sunny and beautiful, yet we are in our hotel rooms saving our energy. Yet there are also many advantages, like being apart of a fantastic community of swimmers who want to see each other succeed.
