7/31/03 - Whew! Another meet over. Before the evening was over Plymouth Community, MI, Women set a new record of 1:48.91 in the 200 Freestyle Relay. Then Gustavo Calado from Roanoke Central, VA set a new record in the Men's 200 Fly with a time of 2:04.43. Then Meagan Ekkman, Middle Tyger, SC, swam a record time of 29.55 in the Women's 50 Back. Plymouth Community, MI won the Women's Team Award with a score 441. Wilton Family won both the Men's Team Award with a score of 445 then won the Combined Team Award with 535.5 points. Congratulations to all swimmers and teams! You all did a wonderful job.

7/30/03 - In the Women's 200 Back, 14 year old Tricia Weaner from West Shore, PA broke the old record of 2:20.05 in prelims. But, that apparently wasn't good enough for Miss Weaner, who came back at finals to swim a 2:16.09 getting her second Olympic Trial cut of the meet.

7/29/03 - Another great day at Long Course Championships. The evening started with 3 men breaking the old record in the 800 Freestyle. Peter Volosin from Roanoke Central touched the wall first with a time of 8:26.08. He was followed closely by Charlie Houchin with a time of 8:31.64 and Chris Schenck who swam a time of 8:33.92. In the Women's 200 Freestyle, Plymouth Community Y's Lindsey Smith set a new record with a time of 2:03.90.

7/28/03 - The Long Course Champsionship has just begun. And already there have been 2 new National Records set. Lauren Brick from Rappahannock, VA, swam a time of 33.033 in the Women's 50 Breast prelims to break the old record of 33.48. Then in the Women's 100 Back, Tricia Weaner, West Shore, PA broke the old record of 1:04.47 with a new time of 1:03.33 (Olympic Trial cut).
