2020 YMCA MASTERS NATIONAL MEET IS CANCELLED
YMCA of the USA (Y-USA) is committed to the safety and well-being of all attendees at our competitive events. As such, we have been continuing to monitor the risk related to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In order to comply with the most recent recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and United States Masters Swimming (USMS), the YMCA Masters National Meet, scheduled to take place in Orlando, Florida, May 7 to May 10, 2020, has been canceled. Y-USA has made this decision in order to reduce the risk to all athletes, coaches and spectators. We did not make this decision in haste. We recognize and admire all the hard work and dedication of the many swimmers and coaches in preparing for this time-honored tradition that celebrates excellence and fosters relationships in the YMCA swimming community. And we are incredibly grateful for the countless hours of preparation from our dedicated committee volunteers and officials. If you have already registered for this event, Y-USA and the Meet Committee will work with you to reimburse your meet registration. We will continue to share further updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure the health and safety of everyone in our Y community is the top priority.
