Cancelled YMCA of the USA has selected the Greensboro Aquatic Center to host its 2020 National YMCA Long Course Championships. The meet will be held July 28-August 1, 2020 (Tuesday through Saturday).
The GAC was selected based on significant community support, experience and success in hosting previous national championship meets including YMCA Nationals, the quality and capacity of the venue and the enthusiastic support of the YMCA of Greensboro.
With the opening fourth pool in 2019 at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) became the largest indoor aquatic center in the country. The new fourth pool adds 19 additional short course lanes or eight additional long course lanes. The new pool is a 27,000-square-foot addition to the GAC facility, including additional locker rooms and office space.
