My daughter has a birthday at the end of December. She was born in 2000, meaning she will be turning 13 this year. What age group would she swim in? Is it the 11-12 group or the 12-13 group?

For NJ YMCA meets, she will swimm as an 11-12 year-old, as the YMCA uses a December 1st cut-off. For USA Swimming meets she will swim in the age group corresponding to her age on the first day of the meet.
