2018 YMCA SHORT COURSE NATIONALS

The YMCA of the USA is pleased to announce that the YMCA Short Course National Championship Meet will return to the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) in Greensboro, NC, in 2018, 2019 and 2020.  The 2018 dates will be April 3-7, 2018.

VENUE SELECTION PROCESS
Following a thorough review process that included a committee of event volunteers and swim coaches, Y-USA selected the GAC based on the high quality of the facility, the experience level of the staff, the reasonable cost to families and teams, and ongoing support of the local community. The selection committee thoughtfully reviewed each bid and visited all of the proposed sites. The committee's recommendation was determined based on an extensive evaluation rubric, and coach feedback.

We look forward to working again with the qualified and committed staff of the GAC, the Greensboro CVB and our other local partners to provide a high quality meet experience so that our athletes can achieve their full potential.

AFFORDABLE LODGING
Y-USA is pleased to announce a larger selection of hotel options with lower hotel sleeping room rates for the 2018 YMCA National Short Course Championship.  With affordability in mind, we have partnered with the Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Greensboro hotel community to lower overall travel costs for Championship participants.  This year you will see a larger variety of hotel options, many at lower rates than previous years. Your support of the preferred Greensboro hotels is appreciated. Please note the deadline to reserve the rooms at these reduced rates is March 17, 2018.  This is a full week later than past hotel reservation deadlines.

ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS
In addition to the lower rates, when you book with these partner hotels, you'll receive coupons for additional discounts on local attractions and restaurants, generating even greater savings for you. These additional discounts are only offered to attendees who book the hotels listed on this site by the March 17 deadline. We are confident you'll want to take advantage of the overall savings involved when you book your hotel reservation with these partner hotels.

Please note that Y-USA has ended the relationship with the vendor utilizing the "Stay with Us" model for hotel reservations. We are confident that the partnership with the Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau will result in an improved experience for you at a lower overall cost.
